Crucial M500 Vs Bx100

So I'm looking to replace the Samsung EVO 840 in my main desktop (all the issues with Samsung SSDs are making me nervous) and am looking at the referenced drives from Crucial as possible replacements. Specifically I am looking at the BX100 1TB vs. the MX500 960 GB.

SSD Deathmatch: Crucial's M500 Vs. Samsung's 840 EVO. American cancer society ride program. By Christopher Ryan 07 August 2013. Micron's consumer products division, Crucial, wasn't the first brand to introduce a 1 TB SSD.

On paper, the BX100 is faster and has a more advanced controller. OTOH, the MX500 is $100 Canadian less, and while the BX100 is faster, it's not that much faster. So in terms of value, the MX500 appears to be the better choice.
So the question is, can anyone think of any good reasons why I might end up saying in 6 months '#$%#$ why didn't I just spend the extra $100?!?'

hey guys I;m finally going to order parts for my Skylake build this weekend. I was all set with the EVO 850 but I just got an email from Tigerdirect and they have the m500 for $299 with no tax or shipping. The EVO will run me $368 with tax, that was the lowest I've found, so it's a pretty substantial difference.

EDIT: m500 even comes with $20 MIR so final price would only be $279.

Anyone have experience with crucial m500 or know if it's a good drive? Seems the write speeds are a bit slower than the EVO but I doubt I'd notice in everyday use. How about reliability and writes/warranty? thanks
