FinSAS Flexible
By Donald V. Saftner (University of Toledo)Designed to accompany and complement FinSAS, FinSAS Flexible allows students to analyze financial schedules as well as statements, whereas FinSAS is used to analyze only the financial statements. The footnotes in an annual report contain information that helps one understand the financial statements. Those footnotes contain financial schedules that do not fit into FinSAS.

Flexible can also be used to analyze financial statements directly in a different format (user defined) from the format of FinSAS.

The NikeBS (Nike balance sheet) and NikeIS (Nike income statement) files are examples of the use of FinSAS Flexible. The Nike files will help users appreciate the role of Flexible and be able to use Flexible.
